The Legacy of ANZAC Remembrance Trust

About Us

Commitment to Remembrance and Education

The Pohutukawa ANZAC Remembrance Trust is dedicated to honouring the bravery and sacrifices of New Zealanders during World War I and subsequent conflicts. We achieve this through the construction of memorials, organisation of commemorative events, and fostering community education on ANZAC history. Our significant achievements, including the inaugural dawn service and ongoing plans for a permanent memorial, reflect our commitment and recognition within the community.

Our initiatives have fostered community engagement and remembrance, ensuring the ANZAC legacy is cherished for future generations.

Our Journey

A Commitment to ANZAC Commemoration Since 2016

Founded in October 2016, the Pohutukawa ANZAC Remembrance Trust was established to honour the service and sacrifice of New Zealanders during wartime. The Trust’s inaugural ANZAC Day Dawn Service in 2015 marked the beginning of a long-standing tradition of remembrance in Beachlands. Since then, we have actively engaged the community through memorial construction, commemorative events, and educational initiatives.

Over the years, we have successfully revitalised dawn services and initiated plans for a permanent memorial to ensure ongoing remembrance.
